Dropbox Launches Limited Beta For Blackberry OS 5.0-Only Devices

Dropbox For Blackberry Limited Beta

Dropbox which allows users to store, sync, and, share files online has launched limited beta testing of its Blackberry app, which will be carried on with just about 500 beta testers. The app is for Blackberry OS 5.0-only devices, so don’t worry about it if you are planning to pick up one from the upcoming Blackberry OS 6 devices, especially Blackberry Bold 9780… ‘er just kidding, it’ll be a long time before you get that anyway!

Anyway, Dropbox too is not going to worry about the rest of the devices [possessing earlier versions], until the app is stabilized for Blackberry OS 5.0 devices.

Missing Feature: Currently you cannot download/upload complete folders or multiple files from/to Dropbox.

UPDATE: Some users who have luckily been a part of the beta testing report that the app is working fast and fine, just as they would want it to.

UPDATE -2: A user reports, “I take the photo, then click the “upload this photo” button, and then return to the Dropbox file directory but the file is not added. I have been able to replicate this error consistently… device Blackberry Bold 9700 (OS 5.1.0.146)” This could probably be among the first few beta bugs?

Why don’t you try out the beta here: www.dropbox.com/blackberrybeta
